Here are some of the Projects that I've worked/ are working on

  • Research Ethics Information Management System (REIMS)

    Role: Lead Developer & Maintainer

    Started this project in 2018 while an intern at the National Institute for Medical Research (Mbeya) as a way of helping the local institutional review board to manage the review process of research proposals. The System was later adopted is currently running at the highest health ethics committee (NatHREC) in the country (Tanzania), receiving and processing over 2,000 applications. Have also been able to customize the system for other institutions such as the Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences, Kilimanjaro Christian Medical University College and Zanzibar Health Research Institute.

  • Cal-C

    A side solo project that I started to help my researcher colleagues in managing the scheduling of participant visits for clinical trials. Still prototyping, but I like how it's turning out. Have tried to utilize a test-driven development approach for this project as much as I could.

  • eProcure

    Role: Developer

    eProcure is a web application that was developed internally at the National Institute for Medical Research. The aim of the system is to help manage institutional procurement processes from raising of a requisition request, departmental approvals, request for quotations and the delivery of the goods. I served as one of the developers for this system, taking part in all development processes, from the initial design, to the development and testing. The system is currently in use at the institute.

  • REIMS 2.0

    A lot changed since I developed the first version of REIMS. Technology has evolved, and so have my skills. I have decided to start from scratch and build a new version of the system. I've rewritten much of the functionality to make the code much cleaner and maintainable, and the system much faster and efficient with expected addition of new features.

  • NIMR - Mbeya Website

    Role: Web Designer & Maintainer

    I redesigned the website for the National Institute for Medical Research - Mbeya center, the organization that I was working for and was responsible for maintaining the website, adding new content and updating the existing content.

  • KanisaNet

    A web application that I created to manage church and ministry information. The system is designed to help manage church members, services, events, finances, and other church related information. The system is currently in use at the church I attend.
