REIMS version.1
Role: Lead Developer & Maintainer
Period: 2017 - Present
Research Ethics Information Management System (REIMS) is a web-based application for managing research ethical approvals. The system is currently functional in the following institutions: Tanzanian National Institute for Medical Research (NIMR), Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre (KCMC), Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS), and Zanzibar Health Research Institute (ZAHRI).

An open-source web application I created for managing participant scheduled visits for clinical trials. The system had a successful trial run managing visits for the PROTID clinical trial which ran across multiple sites.

A fully rewritten version of the Research Ethics Information Management System (REIMS). The new version is more efficient, uses much cleaner and maintainable code and is expected to have more features. The system is currently running at the College of Surgeons of East, Central and Southern Africa (COSECSA).

A web application for sending anonymized SMS alerts to patients reminding them of taking their medication and attending their scheduled visits. The system was used for a study that was conducted at the National Institute for Medical Research.
